Seeing the country in an RV, coach, or RV is an experience you’ll never forget. The freedom to travel is incredible and in the United States and Canada, the amount of distance you can travel and the number of highways could easily take a person a decade to see it all. Of course, after traveling to every city in the United States and Canada over a period of 6 years, I have some advice for you.
The first is to get satellite broadband for your RV. Now that gives you complete freedom online from anywhere. My high speed satellite broadband is 10 Mb/s download and around 250-300 upload, but lately since VoIP Technologies it has been a bit stuck. I figured that would actually happen. It’s a bummer as I’ve watched a lot of video seminars and lectures in college classrooms in the past, but now I can only do it at night due to usage times.
When I first got the device it was state of the art, then for a while it’s second rate and now the speed is up again and it’s about the same as high speed in people’s homes but it works and this is important more than anything when traveling.
My satellite internet was one of the first in the nation for RVs, I saw a story in Popular Science and went and bought one, $8,000 and it had serial number #30 and I did a lot of beta testing for the Hughe contractor for the satellite . maker.
People before me included Wild Fire Government and Civil, Military, FEMA, and a couple of die-hard RV’ers. Yes, the cost is only $125.00 per month, unlimited bandwidth, and it’s a great deal for the freedom it provides. I recommend it to all RV’ers.
