Golf carts: take the weight off your shoulders

It hasn’t been long before some golfers used to hire a caddy to carry their clubs and bags, while others used to carry the equipment on their own. Now golfers of all ages are using golf carts to save valuable energy for their game and not waste it transporting golf paraphernalia around the course. There are generally two types of carts: hand-pulled carts and electric carts.

Manual or traction carts

Manual carts are a great option if you are looking for a cart that is reasonably priced. They are lightweight and more affordable than an electric car. A normal size golf bag could easily fit in the front of the cart. A two-wheeled cart is designed to be towed behind you, while a three-wheeled cart, which is more stable, can be used as a push or pull cart.

While shopping for a manual golf cart, look for one that is lightweight and well-assembled. A lightweight golf cart can be easily folded up and lifted up to get it in and out of your car or locker. Being sustainable is an added benefit. Manual carts are an economical and wise alternative to electric or rented carts.

Electric cars

Only a handful of manufacturers made electric golf carts a decade ago. There are plenty these days, as golfers both young and old now prefer to use one rather than drag the hand cart around the course. In fact, they have become the saving grace for many older golfers who used to experience fatigue while using a manual golf cart, which reflected on their performance. The electric trolley is a robust and easy-to-operate alternative to carrying a bag over the shoulder or manually pushing a trolley. As you weigh your options to buy an electric cart, choose one that has a longer battery life than others, electric carts are heavy to push and you certainly don’t want to be stranded at the furthest point from the clubhouse in the event that the car battery runs out.
