Digital Marketing

successful websites

Starting to design your new website is an exciting time, but it can also be a little scary. If you’ve searched for SEO, you’ll be greeted with tons of interesting and lively names for things you probably haven’t even thought of before. What is a bot? What is keyword stuffing? What is a door? What is a hub? Hopefully, once you get started, these things will make more and more sense and you’ll be on your way to including the good stuff and excluding the bad.

SEO or search engine optimization is something you need to be really good at if you want your site to rank well in search engines. The better and more reliable the information on your site is, the better it will rank once someone starts a search. The better you rank, the better your site traffic will be, and the better your site traffic, the better your site will be, especially if you are selling articles. After all, you want people to buy from your site, not the next one in search line.

We have all found ourselves on websites that are less than user friendly. You know them, they have bad navigation, they don’t lead you to what you’re looking for, the font is too big or too small, and nothing is organized well. These pages generally do not rank well, if at all, in search engines. They are annoying to keep on, useless and a waste of time.

So ideally what you want your site to be is the complete opposite of that. You want it to look good, to look fresh, to be welcoming, to be full of information, and to be easy to navigate. The last thing you want is a design that looks like it was made by a 4-year-old, as that is off-putting, even for a site that sells toys. You want it clean, crisp and interesting to the consumer. After all, they can just click get out of there if it’s not attractive and then where would you be?

Articles related to the topic of your site, using the right keywords, and being informative and interesting will hold the visitor’s attention. They will want to read more about your query. They will want to browse for more information and are likely to return again and again. Traffic equals success on websites.
