For all those parents who have been caught up in the current Zhu Zhu Pets hamster craze (often pronounced Zoo Zoo Pets hamsters and Zu Zu Pets hamsters) that is currently sweeping the country and seems to be increasing with every day that it approaches En Christmas, you probably know that prices for both hamsters and accessories have skyrocketed out of control.
With only a couple of months until Christmas, if your kids have their hearts set on a Zhu Zhu hamster, like mine, here are a couple of suggestions, from personal experience, on how you can make sure you really get what you want. want at more realistic prices. All the points are really common sense, but like many parents, when it comes to shopping for the latest must-have holiday toy, common sense is often lost out the window.
Buy at the store. The problem with Zhu Zhu hamsters and all the popular accessories available for these furry animals is that stock levels are low and demand is increasing by the minute. The result is that stores are literally getting new stock, and then before you can blink, they are sold out. Stores also have the problem that they simply don’t know when they will get new stock. If you’re a frequent Walmart or Toys r Us shopper, which most parents inevitably turn into when they have kids, then if you’re in the store, make sure if you see what you want, you just buy it. If you don’t want to go to the actual store you can always call on the phone and if they have them in stock they will usually keep them for a short period for you.
Online store. Buying online right now is perhaps the most popular method and certainly has the highest stock availability with the obvious convenience of shopping from home. However, keep in mind that when the zhu Zhu hamster craze took hold, people bought the limited supplies and sold them at ridiculous prices. With that being said, especially in the last few days, hamster stock levels have seemed to rise to the point that if you hunt smart, there are actually some real price bargains to be found.
Do not wait. If you are sure you want to buy your child a Zhu Zhu hamster or any of the hamster accessories for Christmas and you are thinking of doing it at the last minute, two things will almost certainly happen. Either you just won’t be able to find the supply of the hamster toy you want, or you will have to pay a small fortune for the privilege. The fact that Toys r Us just added the hamster Zhu Zhu to its list of hot toys for Christmas will only make matters worse. You have been warned … by repeated experiences I may add!
Packaged offers. Most parents who buy a Zhu Zhu hamster also buy some kind of additional accessory or even more than one hamster. The most popular plugin by far is Funhouse and the most popular hamsters are Mr Squiggles and Num Nums. Very recently, independent merchants have especially recognized this shopping habit and you are seeing a growing number of worthwhile packages. When I say it’s worth it, I mean a bulk purchase discount over what you would pay if you purchased each hamster item separately. It’s actually a no-brainer, but most people realize the package savings that can be made after purchasing the initial hamster and then purchasing a package doesn’t really make sense.
