WoW Leveling On Steroids: How Long Will It Take You To Go From Level 1 To 80?

With the latest WOW release, WOTLK, the max level has reached 80. Before this we had the Burning Crusade release which makes the max level go from 60 (as for the classic World Of Warcraft) to 70.

At first, you will need to level yourself from 1 to 60. Players will level up at a medium rate. There were some who will level up quickly with 15 or 13 days of playtime, while most will level up to 60 for an even longer time. With this rate you can get your first character to go from level 1 to 60 in 5 to 6 months of an average of 2 hours a day to play.

This all changes as players become more adept at the game, plus websites providing tips on the game and building game databases like Thottbot and WOWhead to make leveling easier. Then the game guides began to appear, vying for the shortest playtime to level up. Some expert could do it for 7, then 6 and even 5 days.

When The Burning Crusade came out, there was hope that it would be more difficult. That wasn’t true and you could do it from start to finish, 60 to 70, in less than a day of playtime. With the tuning of the classic and Burning Crusade, some have managed to go from level 1 to 70 in less than 4 days of playtime. Then came Wrath of the Lich King, and with over 1.5 million XP per level, many said it will take a long time to complete. Now it is well known that you can do it with less than 5 hours per level. So if you need to level up from level 70 to 80, it shouldn’t take you more than 2 days of game time.

That said, you can go from level 1 to 80 in less than 7 days of playtime, which is half the time it would take to go from level 1 to 60 at first (you will have to buy 3 products to enjoy that, but don’t say Blizzard, I complain).

Even more than that, with WOTLK you can play as a Death Knight, that means you can start a new character at level 58 and level 80 in less than 4 days of playtime. Also, as players become more familiar with WOTLK, this time will be shortened even more.

So how long will it take you to get to level 80?

For a new character, from level 1 to 80 with an average of 2 hours a day to play, you are looking for less than 3 months. If you are already playing and you opt for a Death Knight you can level it in less than 2 months, and I suppose that if you are an expert you can even do it for just over a month.

Yes, the time required to enjoy the contents of the final game becomes very accessible to everyone.
