World of Warcraft (WoW) – Farming Locations

WOW or World of Warcraft is a MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game) created by Blizzard Entertainment. With over 11.5 million monthly subscribers (as of December 2008), it reigns as the most subscribed MMORPG in the world. World of Warcraft also holds the Guinness World Record for the most popular MMORPG due to its large number of subscribers.

In all RPGs we have this so-called in-game currency. World of Warcraft is no exception; gold is used as in-game currency. Most players use these 5 basic ways to get gold in World of Warcraft:

1) Gather supplies such as leather, fish, herbs, and minerals.
2) Farming loot and equipment.
3) Craft items and materials needed for professions.
4) Buy something and sell it at a higher price
5) Control the market

Basically, we’re going to focus on the second thing I mentioned above, which is specifically loot/gear collecting; Eternals that are used in most major crafting professions, such as Blacksmithing, Alchemy, Leatherworking, and Enchanting. In most cases, it’s better to farm Eternals than normal gold grinding; it will give you a higher gold to time spent ratio when you search for it in the suggested farm locations in WoW.

I’ll be concentrating on the best WoW farm spots for each type of Eternal Elemental in Wrath of the Lich King, and you’re supposed to have Cold Weather Flying when you’re farming. Good farm locations are suitable for characters level 77 and above. Therefore, it would be wise to prioritize reaching said level before hitting the ‘farm button’.
As with the previous version of WoW, some of the most expensive loot is from elementals. Contrary to the version of The Burning Crusade that coined the term “speck” for these loots, Wrath of the Lich King (WotLK) has the Eternals. Throughout the game, 6 types of Eternals can be formed; Shadow, Air, Water, Earth, Life and Fire. The prices of these eternals tend to vary from server to server, but considering their rarity, the most expensive is usually Life, followed by Fire and Air (average AH price is 50G). Shadow, Earth, and Water are a bit easier to farm compared to those three. Their prices reflect it. The average price is around 10G for Shadow and Water and 5G for Earth.
Wintergrasp is one of the great WoW farm locations for just about every Eternal to be found here, but take note: Wintergrasp is a PvP area, and you can only farm in Wintergrasp when your faction is in control. .

Eternal fire
Wintergrasp is the growing place to go. Raging Flames and Flaming Revenants are the ones that fix your gaze on Will. In addition to Wintergrasp, The Stormy Peaks also provides the same opportunity to earn money. Your main objectives will be Wailing Winds and Seething Revenants, which you can find north of Tunka’lo Village (Wailing winds) and west of dun Niffelhem (Seething Revenants). Wintergrasp has lower drop rates compared to the other locations mentioned, but still proves to be decent.

Eternal Air
For Eternal Air, you’ll revel in Whispering Winds and Tempest Revenants in Wintergrasp, but if your faction isn’t in control, Storm Revenants in Stormwright’s Shelf, found in Sholozar Basin, also have a decent drop rate.
If you want to go seamless, Howling Hollow would be the perfect place for WoW farming. The Scions of Storms will be the ones to look for. Here you will not be interrupted by other mobs attacking you and have a 30% drop rate in Crystallized Air.

For Eternal Life, your goal will be the Living Lashers located on the grassy ledge in Wintergrasp. They have a 30% drop rate on Crystallized Life, but they are tight so don’t worry. Another area to farm would be Zul’drak for Mossy Rampagers, but these places could become a nuisance. The Rampagers are grouped in with the other mobs, which could really slow down the Eternals’ farming. Still, it only has a 30% drop rate which could make up for the lags.

Eternal Water
Crystallized Water is one of the easiest Eternals to get. If your fishing skill is high enough, you can fish them (miners can get them from Titanium and Cobalt mining nodes). Your targets will be the Water Revenants and Glacial Spirits in Wintergrasp. However, there are many more glacial spirits than water spooks.
If Wintergrasp isn’t your faction’s territory, Icebound Revenants at The Storm Peaks will be your WoW breeding ground. They are well packaged and have a 25% drop rate. Go back to SholazarBasin, you need to hunt down the watery spirits circulating in the Stormwright’s Shelf area. As mentioned above, crystallized air is also waiting to be cultivated here.

Eternal shadow
For the crystallized shadow, simply kill Wandering Shadows and Shadow Revenants in Wintergrasp. Shadow Revenants have a 40% drop rate, so you will get at least 1 Crystallized Shadow every 2 kills. On the other hand, the drop rate of Wandering Shadows is around 30%, which is also very high. On the other hand, if your faction isn’t in control of Wintergrasp, then you can try farming Deathbringer Revenants in the cave northeast of Dragonblight between Light’s Trust and Crystal Vice (not to be missed). The drop rate is around 25%, slightly lower than Wandering Shadows.

eternal land
Now farming Crystallized Soil can be a waste of time, as Eternal Soils only sell for an average of 5G on the Auction House. Therefore, it is better to spend your time cultivating the other Eternals. However, for those who really want to farm them, they can try killing Earthbound Revenants in Wintergrasp.

On average, you can generate between 200-300 G just by farming Eternals for at least 30 minutes. This of course includes the loot you get from killing mobs. Now that you know how much profit you can get from this, try visiting the places mentioned here. Happy farming then.
