"the climb" (Miley Cyrus) – What it means – Life, present, mountains, true joy and faith!

Songs, like poetry, are often meaningful, but many are difficult to understand. the climb by Miley Cyrus, is not that hard to understand and is blessed in the beauty of its simple yet powerful life message.

Mountains are analogous for all sorts of theological, philosophical, and practical lessons. Jesus himself uses the image of mountains more than once as described in the gospels. In the climbthe mountain is a life challenge, a task or a relationship that is presented to us.

The temptation we sometimes have in life is to seek the next mountain without truth enjoying the present

However, the best in life is about the current high, not the next or the next; Although there’s absolutely nothing wrong with looking ahead, I mean, there’s the foundation of hope, right there!

However, staying focused on the current mountain means that more energy and focus is available to climb even other mountains simultaneously, at the same time. This is for the increase in our ability to fulfill our life calling, because life is often not linear: sometimes we are required to do several things at the same time; How are we meant to make them all? and do it right? We enjoy them, every climb, that’s how.

Fulfilling the various calls of our life, be it family, work or otherwise, consistently and adequately is often difficult, but enjoying each promotion is the key.

Remember the scene in bruce almighty (2003) where Bruce (Jim Carrey) can’t keep up with the prayer requests as his work as God (between 51st and Main!) really starts to pick up? We also feel this work pressure sometimes. By trusting that God will be entirely faithful in giving us more energy, ability, and enthusiasm to strive to meet the demands, we will also collect the present.

And it’s only when we look too far ahead in the next escalate that we lose sight of the present moment and the possible joy of being captured, right now. It’s not about how fast we get there; and it’s certainly not about what’s on the other side. Climbing itself is the key to happiness and success, and to positive and inspired interactions with people.

And the BEST thing about all this ‘present consciousness’ propaganda is the growth experience of it. The more we do, the more we train ourselves in it, appreciating the minutes and seconds that are present with us, the more God pours out! This is just another way he fills us to overflowing (and overflowing) in his abundance.

For us, the climb it makes life an inspiration and not a hateful chore that robs us of our joy. Of course, there are also times when we will fight for joy, whatever we do; a humble acceptance of the clear facts in these situations is all we can hope to achieve. As they say, ‘such is life’.

Don’t underestimate the power of the message in this song, the climb. Listen and own its poignant yet soothing truth. Keep faith.
