political climate

The change has come to a point. President-elect Joe Biden and his Vice President Kamala Harris are in office to restore, revive, and heal our country and relationships around the world. These last four years under the Trump administration have been like a toxic cancer spreading from one community to another. There are no other explanations except the fact that many people have died under his administration (219,372) to date as of this writing due to the Corona virus.

Despite the fact that he did several other things that were beneficial to some Americans, his childish behavior overshadowed his accomplishments. The days leading up to the decisive decision to have the necessary votes are certainly historic. For many of us who were watching and waiting for the media to report and announce a winner; the results have brought peace to some and a sense of happiness to others in this diverse population.

The reality of all this is that we need to pray for our political leaders. There will never be a total change until the Savior of the world returns. In the meantime, one thing each of us can do is our own part to make America a great place to live, move, and be. As current leaders prepare to leave the White House; a new era begins. The speech President-elect Joe Biden shared last week is one of hope and healing.

The scriptures are clear and must be believed and lived. “If my people, upon whom my name is called, humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” II Chronicles 7:14. Based on the pitch of Joe Biden; there doesn’t seem to be any wrongdoing, and it sounds like he has more than enough compassion, empathy, and God-consciousness to do the right thing.

The world is brutal and full of all kinds of tribulations, but it is also a place for all of us to contribute to society and help each other; make the world a better place to live. Whether or not you are a man or woman of faith according to the Bible; there is a measure of faith for all who believe in God. As a man or woman of faith and whatever the calling in our individual lives; it is our responsibility to do what is right and within our power to do so. The voting process is an excellent example of being together in an agreement for the betterment of the country. Let’s all use this momentum as a message to change and shape the world in this political climate. It first begins with a willingness and a desire to let God use you for his glory. “Whoever boasts, glory in the Lord.” 1 Corinthians 1:31.
