These days there are a number of days that are celebrated. Sometimes I feel like these are all different ways to make money. But mother’s day is one of those days that I really feel like it needs due recognition. Me being the daughter, I feel a strong desire to celebrate this relationship. This wish of mine becomes even more prominent with every kick from my son who is still in my womb.
According to me the relationship of a mother and a daughter is the most loving relationship in this universe. When I look back on my childhood days, sometimes I feel like reliving them. No mattress in this world is as cozy as mom’s lap, there is no better friend for a girl than her mother, whom she can trust, and there is no delicacy as sweet as food made by mom. In other words, she is the God present on earth who is always there to support you, to give you a shoulder to cry on, to share your happy and sad moments. This feeling becomes even stronger once I got married and live far away from my mom.
There is no way we can repay what our mothers have done for us. On this special day, some of us can’t even go visit our moms, but in our own way we must thank God that, in his absence, he sent someone to care for us and love us unconditionally. Next year I hope to celebrate this day with my own son. And probably then I can realize what motherly love really is.
A mother is one who can face immense problems to see her child happy. Being the only child, she sometimes accused me of being too attached to my parents. But I am proud of this attachment. I am what I am today only thanks to them. They have taught me to do things on my own. I don’t always need someone to entertain me. I have always trusted my mother and that has raised my confidence level. She has been my friend, my support and also my critic.
I want to thank you mom for blessing me with a lifetime of your tender love. I want to thank you for your care, for the thousands of things you did to make me happy, for the love and closeness we share. I thank God for giving me the best mom and now I ask that I can follow in my mother’s footsteps to give my son a wonderful future.
