The Philips HTS3544 Home Theater System is a great sound system for your home, especially if you’re on a budget. Its sleek design will add a touch of sophistication to a room, and its solid performance exceeded my expectations for a sound system in this price range.
This home theater system comes with all the usual features along with a few extras and is an excellent choice for a system in its class. The quality and clarity of the sound is unquestionable, and the bass provided by the subwoofer is more than adequate (only users used to too much bass will say otherwise).
The Philips HTS3544 has integrated Dolby Digital, DTS and Pro Logic II surround sound systems that stand for exceptional sound quality. Home Theater Progressive Scan DVD Player can convert videos to 1080i HD resolution. It is compatible with DivX, CD, Mp3, WMA and Picture CD formats.
A USB port on the DVD allows you to view photos and play music, where even mobile phones can be connected. The Philips HTS3544 also has a unique feature: an iPod dock through which the MP3 player can be charged while playing music. One of my favorite features is that while the iPod is plugged in, music playback can be controlled and navigated via the remote. Thanks to its practical design and configuration, the system was very easy to set up and use. All in all, the Philips HTS3544 will be a great buy, providing excellent performance at a relatively low price.
