Consume/Waste LESS

Too much and too little, both dangerous.

Yes, when it comes to global warming. Human activities have been more complex and unfortunately damaging to the environment.

As you can see, polluting the planet has been a common thing nowadays. Starting with the fumes from cars, factories and the like that wreak havoc on our Earth. The atmosphere is getting hotter and hotter, the polar ice caps are melting, the oceans are rising, low-lying areas, especially coastal countries, can suffer from tsunamis and other calamities, or worse, be submerged in water and completely wiped off the map. Good thing, with various initiatives in place for some time now, it could definitely help address a myriad of problems.

Here is wisdom that we could think of and start doing something, even in our little ways.

TOO

1. Ignorance

Who would want to go back to normal when that had been useless, from an environmental point of view? The COVID-19 pandemic has been a wake-up call for all of us. That, in everything we do to our planet, we will definitely get a redundancy. We sow ignorance, we reap destruction. Solution? Invest in education. Let us all educate ourselves on climate literacy and from this the ripple effects could be felt by all in due time, including future generations.

2. Greed

Is everyone becoming materialistic? Maybe. With people materially deprived when they were young or what, they come up with hoarding disorder; then we see the destructions as products of their selfish actions. Poachers, people who consume water and barely burn life in the interior of the country, politicians who accumulate wealth, indifferent people who do not care about the environment, to name a few, could defeat the purpose of giving back to the old glory environment we have today. However, it would be hard work. Going back to our roots where people live simply and contentedly could teach us wisdom related to our current chaos.

TOO LITTLE

1.Care/Ubuntu

With the desire not to harm people and the environment, a good person will not do things in excess. Yes, before one can do something bad, say, devastate the forests and oceans for products or products for consumption purposes, one must stop and reflect, then there is less chance of those natural resources reaching a depleted level and leave future generation in scarcity.

2. Restriction

Using natural resources responsibly means using them according to our needs, not greed. Anything in excess, let’s just say unhindered logging off the tees would definitely result in the destruction of wildlife habitat. Take a look at what has happened to our planet due to over-pollution, the unbridled use of chemicals in farming and fishing activities, and other irresponsible acts. Now we are apprehensively looking for solutions.

So there you have it. This wisdom could really be the key towards our quest for a deliverable land where everything is in the right balance, nothing too much or too little.
