Most people don’t even realize they’re making these mistakes, but one “innocent” mistake or not literally ruins all your chances of getting your ex back. In fact, these things should be avoided at all costs.

Under NO circumstances should you do any of these 10 things, because if you do, your ex will not take you back:

10. Accuse your ex – This is blame and just shows them that you are not willing to stand up and admit YOUR OWN shortcomings. Be able to admit where you went wrong and leave the rest out of the picture. You should forgive your ex if you really want it anyway.

9. Menacing – Blackmailing or trying to force them to accept you with threats only makes your ex very afraid of you. It’s like the “cowardly” way of trying to make someone love you again, and it really only makes them hate you.

8. Insult – Calling names on your ex and calling him names when he doesn’t take you back only makes your ex feel even more hurt and tells him that he’s right not to take you back.

7. Faking an emergency – Pretending that someone is seriously wrong to try to get them to call you back. This upsets your ex, and it’s like a crying wolf, and it breaks your ex’s trust completely.

6. See other people intimately – Your ex will feel that you cheated on him and lied, because you are with someone else, but you tell him that you want him back. It is insulting to them.

5. Make up excuses – Instead of just taking action and changing, make excuses like “you know it’s hard for me” or give silly reasons why you can’t change. It tells your ex that you really aren’t willing to be the person he needs.

4. Only be grateful after the fact. – This means you shower your ex with compliments and say “I love you” when you never have before. It makes your ex feel unappreciated.

3. Forget important things – Maybe your ex told you something, or maybe there was something important like his birthday… and you forget. This shows your ex that you really don’t care.

2. Talk bad about your ex – Going around behind their backs and talking trash to them. Your ex will find out eventually and feel really betrayed. You either like your ex or you don’t, and if you do, you shouldn’t risk losing your ex because of something dumb you said behind his back.

1. You still lie to your ex. – Why lie to your ex if you really want him back? Just be honest, then they will appreciate it and they will be more likely to want you back because you have the guts to be honest.
