The pros and cons of game consoles like Wii, PS3 and Xbox 360

With pros and cons of just about anything imaginable, here are some simple, basic pros and cons regarding gaming consoles. There aren’t too many, but there are a few that need consideration.

I’ve written before about the pros and cons of individual game consoles, but never about the subject as a whole. This, of course, is quite different, especially if you are new to this field or considering buying one for family or friends.

The most popular consoles at the time of writing are the Nintendo Wii, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 with the Wii coming out on top in sales figures with a whopping twenty-five million sold in just over eighteen months.

What are the pros and cons of game consoles? They can be summed up in a few actually. I would have to say the most obvious of all first: they force you to stay on your butt for hours on end! The exception to this is the Wii, where you actually play the games as if you were actually in the action doing it.

Second, the graphics. In today’s console world they are simply excellent and getting better where possible. However, it is necessary to say that the graphics of Wii are not up to those of ps3 and xbox 360, just a point to consider.

Third, price. Oh yeah, there’s always a price, right? Current console prices range from £175 to £299! To be precise, the £299 beauty is the ps3 at one end with the best-selling Wii at around £175 at the other end, while in the middle is the Xbox 360 at around £195.

Of course, there are other factors involved, but these are the main ones to consider in my opinion: fitness or lack thereof, quality, and last but not least, price.

In summary, if the quality of the graphics is the most important, go for the Xbox 360 or the PS3, but if health and physical exercise are your priority, go for the Nintendo Wii, which will undoubtedly help you achieve your goals. of exercise.
