Many of you have visited Brookstone and perhaps have tried one of the massage chairs. One of the brands they present is Osim. They are a large distribution company located in Singapore. They are known to brand chairs made by others under their name. One of the chairs they sell to Brookstone is the iSymphonic massage chair, which will be reviewed in the next few paragraphs.

The world of massage chairs can sometimes be confusing with several different brands and manufacturers. Although some are not actually a manufacturer but a distributor. They use a third party to make their chairs and then market and brand them.

This recliner is equipped with infrared sensors. Sensors are used to measure the dimensions of your body to provide a personalized massage. The massage rollers will adjust themselves based on readings from your body.

also a synchronized function. This allows you to listen to your favorite music while the chair is in sync with the tempo of the music.

An interesting feature of this recliner is its synchronized music therapy system. Synced music is based on your preferences. Select the type of music you want and press the sync button. The chair will then begin the massage movements according to the rhythm of the music.

The auto massage programs are preset programs on the recliner. There are a total of five automatic health care programs in the Osim iSymphonic recliner. These programs are set for 15 minutes.

In addition to automatic massage programs, there are also manual massage techniques. This allows you to select a technique and let it work on a specific area. This is great for targeted relief.

It’s always nice to have a power recline. Just choose the function on the easy-to-use remote and you’re powered back. Find the angle that is comfortable for you, and then stop.

A great way to massage the lower body is with the compression massage system. An air pump directs pressurized air into the airbags. The airbags squeeze the largest muscles in the body providing relief.

I am a big fan of music therapy. Music helps you relax. It is a good way to distract your mind from your problems. Most massage therapists use soft, rhythmic music for their treatments. This massage chair comes with good music therapy.

This massage recliner is decent for the price. I don’t think I would take this over some of his rivals. I find that Panasonic, Sanyo and Omega are putting out some great technology. The difference between these companies is the full therapeutic treatment you receive in one of their recliners.

My back and shoulders get very stiff which requires a deeper tissue massage. I like a good strong massage chair that penetrates through muscle tissue. I did not get the same penetration with the Osim iSymphonic massage chair. It seemed a little loose and shallow for my taste.

The features that I like about this massage chair are the music and the synchronization function. I thought the massage back was weak and superficial. I don’t think this massage chair is good for my long term needs. I prefer a massage that is stronger on the back since that is where most of my tension resides. Those are my opinions from my tests of the Osim iSymphonic massage chair.
