My pros and cons of Coffee Mate Creamer

Have you ever thought about the ingredients of the mate coffee creamer you use? There are definitely pros and cons to this product. I guess it depends on the amount of coffee you consume in a day and if you are one of those people who cares about everything that happens in your body. Luckily I’m not one of those because I definitely love my coffee and I have to have the cream. I’m just not into drinking coffee straight, but I do want to share with you some of the ingredients in mate coffee creamer brands.

There is a list of about eight ingredients in most mate coffee creamers. There are so many different types of these creams. You can buy it in liquid, powder, fat-free, fat-free, natural bliss, sugar-free, low-fat, etc. forms. It really depends on your flavor of choice. Mine is the non-fat liquid coffee mate creamer. Looking at the ingredients, I couldn’t even pronounce most of these. Some of them made no sense to me. Sodium casein was one ingredient that did it. It is a derivative of milk and a type of protein found in the milk of mammals. Some people are allergic to it. It is used in the coffee mate cream to prevent coagulation. So this could be bad for you if you are allergic to it.

Other reasons some people may choose not to use coffee mate cream in their coffee is because, depending on the way you buy it, the sugar and calorie content may be more than you want. Low-fat natural bliss had the most calories of all of these. It had 40 calories per serving, 5 grams of sugar, 7 carbohydrates, and 1.5 grams of total fat. This could add a lot of extra fat and calories. Not so natural.

Now, on the other hand, the pros are that it really does make the coffee taste wonderful. I can’t wait to get up in the morning and have that first cup of coffee with my cream. This is how my perfect day begins. The non-fat liquid coffee mate that I like to use only has 1 gram of carbs and 0 sugars. Another plus is that coffee is a great way to socialize with your friends. You can meet some of them at a local coffee shop and have a great conversation over a cup. It can be very relaxing. So I think there are more pros to matte coffee creamer than cons.

As for me, it’s not going to make any difference what’s in my favorite cream, I plan on having my coffee like I always have, with my cream. It just wouldn’t be the same without him. And to all coffee drinkers you make your own decision. I already did mine.
