2006 Adrenaline Murtaya

On April 11, 2006, Adrenaline Motor-sports in Cornwall released a kit car, The Murtaya. A kit car is basically like a modular home, except it’s a car. The kit comes complete, meaning it comes from a single donor. This is the 1993 to 2000 Subaru Impreza, so you don’t have to look far to add extra additions to tune the car’s performance. In that case, the WRX and STi models are great donor add-ons in either layout, the normally aspirated or the turbocharged. But if you’re going to go all out, then the Impreza Type R or Type RA will go a long way toward turning your standard package into a great sports car.

People can buy the kit and put it together themselves. This was done for financial reasons. It comes in different packages. The two main packages are road spec and race spec. and road specifications. The road version has a full windshield, air conditioning, leather interior, sound insulation, central locking and electric windows. If you decide to modify the car, it is suggested to purchase a complete car if possible (a good place to look is your local junkyard).

To design this car and ensure that all the parts fit together as they should, they used CAD models and a lot of analysis. The main concern was the chassis. He needed to be strong to be able to handle the extreme stresses he will be under.

The basic kit package has these components.

Main monocoque, trunk lid, front clamshell, both doors, instrument panel, door trim panels, center console, front subframe, gear selector rod mods, steering column mods, drive shaft powertrain, pedal box bracket, steering column bracket, door hinges, step stop mounting bracket, trunk hinges, hood hinge (the hinged metal protective cover over the engine of a utility vehicle motor).

So the rest of the car that is needed, you will need to get from another donor car. A great place to look for whole donor cars is auction houses. You can go to the local junkyard just for a partial car but a full car is better, you never know which part you need to use or just do some extra modifications. This kit was designed for the home mechanic looking for an exciting project to assemble at home.

There are three versions of the road version. Standard, WRX, and STi Type-RA or Type R. Standard has all-wheel drive with a 5-speed manual transmission. The WRX has horsepower in the lower 200 range and is a 5-6 speed manual transmission. The WRX STi version will have horsepower in the upper 200 range. The STi Type-RA has a 6-speed transmission, driver-controlled center differential. The weight of the five-speed Road car is 2,035 pounds. The weight of the six-speed road car is also 2,035 pounds. While the track car has the lowest weight in 1870 and that’s because it’s a 6 speed manual transmission.

All car versions feature “a composite monocoque bathtub with GRP front clam shell”. There is a multi-pronged space frame that is bolted to the main tub where the engine and front suspension bolt on. While the rear suspension, gearbox and driveshaft center bearing are bolted directly to the monocoque. This to allow a rigid platform for the suspensions to keep the wheels on the ground.

The exterior of the car was also the result of extreme design work that took visual impact into account. In addition to taking into account things like a lot of space in the trunk. Overall, when finished, the car has great visual appeal with everyday practicality for things like shopping, weekend trips, commuting, or camping.

Before it was deemed ready to sell, it went through a battery of circuit tests at the “Brands Hatch International Circuit”, which was seen by the public and where it clocked in at 400 miles per hour. This car project was under the supervision of these three men, Neil Yates…the general manager, Daniel Muir…chief designer and Tom Taylor…chief engineer. Which, by the way, is where the car name of these men’s last names came from… “Mur de Muir, Ta de Taylor, Ya de Yates.”

“True Concept Cars” handles the distribution of the cars in Europe. “True Concept Cars” is located in Budel, the Netherlands. Its target customers for global markets are in North America, China and Russia.
