What is the best cardio for weight loss?

Another very important aspect of a healthy weight loss plan is regular physical activity and exercise. The exercises provided the added stimulation to burn excellent calories, build lean muscle, and tone the body, all of which healthy eating simply can’t do.

The first hurdle most people face when trying to lose weight is the age old question: What is the best cardio exercise for weight loss? After all, there are many different forms of cardio exercise, so this can be confusing.

Now my standard answer to this question would normally be something along the lines of “the one you like to do and will stick to the most”. One of the biggest problems many people face is that they have all the right intentions from the start, but do very boring cardio routines that will never last long in the long run or provide any real tangible results.

I think one of the most important parts of exercise is finding something you love to do and something you stick with. Consistency is key as over time this is what makes the difference.

In terms of options for cardiovascular exercise, there are many things to do. You can go the classic gym route and opt for the treadmill, bike, stair climber, or elliptical trainer. All of these can provide a good workout that can be part of a plan.

There are many kinds of cardio-type exercises to choose from today, such as Zumba, bokwa, and step aerobics, and various combinations of these types of clothing. All of these provide their own benefits.

The key part of exercise is intensity, without high intensity there will be enough calories burned and not much benefit from exercise.

The intensity with which a person can train will depend entirely on their current fitness, current weight and health conditions. The key is to start small or light and work up to at least 30 minutes of exercise without taking a break. This will provide the ideal setting for weight loss.

If someone is morbidly obese, then a light bike workout will be the best type of workout to start with. Alternatively, brisk jogging in the streets is another option.

I think there are 3 cardio exercises that really come out on top when it comes to better overall fitness and weight loss. Running, swimming, and jumping are considered some of the most effective calorie burners for a training program.

All 3 of these exercises are full body workouts and provide a good level of conditioning as well as the calorie burning factor and other health benefits.

This all comes down to choice at the end of the day, the main thing is consistency. It’s a good idea to mix things up from time to time as well.

As a personal recommendation, I would invest in a good quality jump rope as it is one of the best items for a fitness enthusiast and can really do a good all round workout. There are endless variations with jumps, so you can mix things up a lot. Many fitness pros claim that jumping is 3 times more powerful than jogging, so if you want a time-saving workout, jumping is a great option.

As a general rule of thumb, anyone trying to lose weight should do some form of cardio about 3/4 times a week to help improve a program and lose a few extra pounds.
