Fun ways to add some flavor to your burgers

HEALTHY CHICKEN BURGER RECIPES

1- CRISPY CHICKEN BURGER

INGREDIENTS

125 g all-purpose flour

freshly ground pepper to taste

1 teaspoon of paprika

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1/4 teaspoon fried thyme (optional)

1/2 teaspoon salt

2 skinless chicken breast fillets

125 ml of buttermilk

oil for frying

FOR CREAM CORN SAUCE:

80 g frozen sweet corn kernels

salt and pepper to taste

1 tablespoon of mayonnaise

To serve

2 burger buns with sesame seeds

1/2 onion, sliced

lettuce

4 slices of cheese

BBQ sauce

METHOD:

Take a large resealable plastic food bag and add all the dry ingredients for the chicken. Shake well.

Drain the chicken in buttermilk for 30 minutes and then put it in the bag. Repeat with the other chicken breast. Shake the bag well to coat the chicken.

Place the chicken on a plate or tray lined with parchment paper and let it rest for 30 minutes before frying.

Heat a deep fryer or wok with vegetable oil until very hot. Add the chicken and fry until cooked through. This will depend on the size and thickness of the chicken, but a medium-sized breast will take about 10 minutes. Once the chicken patties are cooked through, remove them from the oil and drain on kitchen paper.

Meanwhile, season the creamed corn. Place the frozen sweet corn in a microwave safe container, cover with water and microwave for 5 minutes. Drain, chill for 5 minutes, then add the mayonnaise and seasoning. Using a hand mixer, puree the sauce. Set aside.

Toast the buns. Place the chicken fillets on the bottom buns, then top with the corn sauce and remaining ingredients.

2- ROMERO CHICKEN BURGER

INGREDIENTS

235 grams of mayonnaise

20 grams fresh chopped Rosemary leaves

1 clove garlic, minced

450 grams of ground chicken

½ teaspoon of salt

¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

4 buns or bun sandwiches

4 tablespoons olive oil

20 grams of arugula divided

Method:

1) For the mayonnaise: In a small bowl mix the garlic mayonnaise and rosemary, set aside.

2) For the hamburgers: Preheat a skillet over medium-high heat. In a large bowl add the ground chicken 1/2 teaspoon of the salt, 1/4 teaspoon of the pepper and 1/2 of the mayonnaise mixture. With clean hands, gently combine ingredients and form 4 patties with chicken mixture. Place the burgers on the barbecue and cook for about 7 minutes on each side. Transfer to paper towels and let sit for a few minutes.

3) Brush the cut side of each muffin with olive oil and 1 teaspoon of the mayonnaise mixture. Roast for 1 to 2 minutes until lightly browned.

4) To assemble the burgers: Spread a tablespoon of the remaining mayo mixture on top and bottom of the toasted buns. Place the chicken patties on the bottom halves of the buns. Top each with a handful of arugula and finish with the top half of the bun.

3- ZINGER BURGER

INGREDIENTS

Chicken fillet 1/2 kg (boneless breast piece)

Black pepper 1 tsp.

1 teaspoon mustard powder

1 teaspoon salt

2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

Fingerling oil

MARINE ALL SPICES OTHER OIL FOR 24 HOURS.

FOR BATTER:

2 teaspoons flour

1/4 teaspoon baking powder

2 tablespoons cornmeal

Egg 1

2 tablespoons rice flour

Ice water as needed

1/2 teaspoon salt

MIX EVERYTHING AND MAKE THE THICKNESS BETTER.

FOR COATING:

1 cup cornflakes

1 cup breadcrumbs

1 cup of french fries

MIX ALL SPICES AND GRIND LIGHTLY (not in powder form)

Bun, cheese slice, lettuce, mayonnaise

Cooking instructions:

Dip the marinated chicken in the batter, then cover with the prepared layer and fry until the chicken patties are golden brown.

Cut the bun, spread mayonnaise on both pieces

Put lettuce, chicken and cheese slice

Serve hot with chili sauce, ketchup, and coleslaw.
